Organic Agriculture Development Program
The program supports organic producers, farmers, and agricultural organizations in Armenia, contributing to the development of high-quality, safe, and environmentally responsible production.
Organic agriculture is a special type of agricultural activity that works in harmony with agroecosystems and is carried out in accordance with relevant technical regulations and standards.
Organic agricultural products include food and raw materials of animal and plant origin produced or processed using organic methods, as well as wild plants.
Manure, biohumus, and poultry manure improve soil structure, enrich it with organic matter, and increase soil fertility.
About the Program
The Organic Agriculture Development Program was launched in 2015 through the initiative of NABU and Acba Bank.
Since 2026, following the completion of the activities of NABU’s branch in Armenia, the program has been transferred to the For People and Nature Armenian Association (FPAN), which continues its implementation in cooperation with Acba Bank.
Today, the program includes more than 100 beneficiaries across Armenia.
Main Objectives of the Program
Within the framework of the program, winning organizations, farmers, and agricultural producers selected through the announced competition receive the opportunity to undergo organic certification with co-financing and expand the export potential of their products.
Program Geography
The beneficiaries of the program represent different regions of Armenia, covering agricultural production, processing, beekeeping, dried fruit production, and plant-based product sectors.
